Mollie is on an exciting growth journey. We are on a mission to become the most loved payments provider of Europe and we are expanding rapidly into new countries. We are the home of ‘Mollies’ who make this place a great place to work and build friends for life.

Our opportunity

We need many more Mollies to enable our ambitious growth plans. We are currently with 175 Mollies and expect to hire another 100 at least next year. The new Mollies have to be amazing, and that’s where you come in. We need someone who can help us scale… fast… with the best people.

You've probably seen 'Mollie' on your bank statements at some point. Maybe quite often actually ;)... This is because you have bought something online. Over 65.000 customers already trust Mollie for their online payments. For them we process millions of purchases seamlessly.

The Netherlands is our original 'home' and our beautiful HQ is on the Keizersgracht. We are convinced we are the best place to work in Amsterdam. Maybe even the best place in Europe, and it's up to you to make this more visible to every potential new Mollie!


What you'll do:

You’ll be the TA business partner for the Management Team, advising us on where and how to find the best talent. Your focus is on putting in place our recruitment strategy with localisation for each market we operate in.

You'll also bring us great managers, innovative techies and experienced commercial teams. You’ll be super hands-on when it comes to sourcing, interviewing and hiring these people.

We already have a great recruitment team and a fantastic culture, but we miss some experience when it comes to hyper-growth, recruiting senior leaders/managers, scaling internationally and becoming much more data driven.

Besides recruiting you’ll also make sure everyone knows Mollie is the place to work. You’ll commit to building the most recognized brand within the tech-industry. Or all industries. We’re on a roll and you need to be ready to take us to great heights.

Your focus and objectives:

  • Hire the best people out there who will help Mollie be extremely successful.
  • Design our hiring plans and recruitment strategies for all countries we operate in (Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France).
  • Lead, coach and inspire a team of recruiters.
  • Build a strong and innovative employer brand.
  • Oversee and measure all stages of candidate experience (including application, interviews and communication).
  • Measure and report on key recruitment metrics, such as: quality of hire, cost of hire, source of hire, time-to-hire etc.
  • More importantly, you’ll use these metrics to consistently improve the efficiency and the success of our Talent Acquisition team.
  • Identify internal Mollies for upcoming opportunities.
  • Manage the recruitment process for key hires.
  • Monitor and actively optimize our current recruitment procedures.

What we need you to bring:

  • At least 5+ years of recruitment experience in a fast growing environment

  • Experience with scaling into new countries - international recruitment experience is a must

  • The ability to identify and attract A-players

  • High levels of energy and a huge dose of optimism and positivity

  • Outstanding leadership skills, at least 3+ years experience leading a team

This is also when we start to get more serious. You'll meet Ingeborg van Harten and a few others from the broader HR/TA team. A 2nd interview includes presenting a case (your solution to all our challenges) and completing a DiSC profile. Final conversation is with our CEO/founder. This role is very important to us, so we apologize upfront... but we will take some of your time during the process.
