Lead Technology Partnerships Acquisition

Mollie is on a mission to become the most loved Payment Service Provider in Europe. Partnerships, including Technology Partnerships, are a critical part of our commercial strategy and plan towards profitable growth. We are looking for an experienced commercial leader to drive the expansion of our Technology Partnerships globally.


You’ll be based out of Amsterdam, leading a team of 2 Technology Partner Managers based in the UK and DACH. As a natural commercial leader you’ll be leading from the front by building and closing relationships with Technology companies. These partnerships are predominantly focused on embedded payment solutions in among others the Hotel & Booking, Ticketing and Food Order verticals. Besides being a people manager, you’ll also actively manage your own pipeline of opportunities focusing on the Dutch market.


You’ll work closely with the local and central teams and functions. Part of our global Technology Partnerships team, you’ll report to the Head of Commercial Partnerships and support them with implementing a successful commercial partnerships strategy. 


What you will be doing:

  • Manage the global Technology Partnerships acquisition team to achieve revenue growth and profitability goals across our core markets

  • Drive the partnerships opportunity pipeline and steer team performance based on both input and output

  • Develop and review business and uses cases for new partnership opportunities

  • Build and manage your own pipeline of opportunities for the Dutch market

  • Create and execute go-to-market strategies for the Technology Partnerships channel, working with local leadership to ensure alignment with the wider commercial strategy in each region (across Sales, Marketing etc.)

  • Streamline ways of working with the broader partnership teams (Ecom, Agencies, Integrations)

  • Represent Mollie at industry events across Europe, in order to expand Mollie’s positioning as a leader in the embedded payments space


What you will bring:

  • 5+ years work experience in Sales and/or Business Development in either a Fintech or SaaS company with at least 1 year of experience in people management. 

  • Significant experience in managing a sales pipeline that consists of both larger strategic business development deals and smaller / high velocity deals as well as a track record in managing deals and negotiations first-hand

  • Cross-functional experience working with various internal and external stakeholders in an international environment

  • A strategic and analytical mindset and strong problem solving and communication skills

  • Strong people leadership skills and inspirational commercial skills

  • Passion for coaching and driving results through the team

  • A hands-on attitude and leading by example in terms of work ethics and execution

  • Fluency (written and verbal) in English (must have) and Dutch (strongly preferred)
