Senior Sales Engineer - Kiel (m/f/d)

Your opportunity

As a Senior Sales Engineer at Mollie, you will play a crucial role in driving our sales efforts by providing technical expertise and support throughout the sales cycle. Collaborating closely with our sales and product teams, you will be responsible for articulating the value of our payment service solutions to potential clients, conducting product demonstrations, and addressing technical inquiries during implementation. Your deep understanding of our technology, industry trends, and customer needs will enable you to deliver exceptional customer experiences and drive successful sales outcomes.

You are the expert on our integrations on all e-commerce platforms and of course you know every Mollie feature and benefit. You will be working closely with the Sales team to grow the merchant base and attend meetings with potential clients to determine technical requirements and ensure that everything is in place to get the customers live in the most loved and efficient way.

This means you will guide the customer through the onboarding process and will make sure once the customer is live to transfer to Customer Success and dedicated support teams. You are the trusted advisor for the sales teams and for the customers during the entire sales process. You will work with our Sales and Customer Success teams.


What you'll be doing

  • Serve as the technical expert and advisor to the sales team, offering product knowledge and guidance, from discovery phase until after go-live.

  • Collaborate with sales reps to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.

  • Conduct informative product demonstrations, showcasing key features and advantages.

  • Address technical inquiries and concerns promptly to ensure a positive customer experience.

  • Share customer feedback with the product team to improve our offerings.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.

  • Participate in sales meetings, conferences, and events to represent the company

  • Give technical guidance for our customer to bring get them to sign with Mollie and until after go-live.


What you'll bring

  • 3+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical implementation manager or similar roles in a sales environment,  preferably in SaaS, fintech or ecommerce.

  • Deep technical understanding of web services/API’s and system integrations. (Platforms and SaaS)

  • Deep technical understanding of our solutions and new products we offer, you are the product expert for the customer and will be able to find creative solutions to offer Mollie in the best possible way.

  • Good project management and planning skills are key to excel in this position. Ability to manage the interaction between Product, Sales, IT and Operations.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical customer facing audiences

  • Ability to understand complex requirements and propose effective solutions.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

  • You are customer-centric and feel at ease speaking in front of/with merchants with strong sales capabilities.

  • You live in the Munich or Kiel area or are willing to travel regularly.

  • You are native in German & fluent and comfortable interacting in English.
