SEO Manager

Mollie's Growth Marketing team is looking for an SEO Manager with a proven track record of success to help us in our mission to become Europe’s most loved financial service provider. The SEO Manager will be part of the Growth marketing team, and will be responsible for setting up our end-to-end SEO strategy including on-page, off-page, and technical elements. You will manage a budget and determine the resources needed to accomplish our goals including tooling, freelancers, or agencies. 


At Mollie, we recognize that SEO plays a role in all stages of the customer journey. We're looking for someone who can think beyond traffic and last click attribution-based goals and understand how we can best reach our ideal customer profile & measure success across those different stages. 

What you'll be doing

  • Craft the SEO strategy and roadmap, working with our various marketing teams (field, product, partner, creative) to achieve our goals

  • Work closely with our web team to key projects to improve the crawlability and UX of mollie.com

  • Develop a high-quality content strategy with our global content and local field marketing teams position ourselves as a leader in the payments space

  • Own and manage an annual budget to determine the most effective mix of tools, freelancers, and agencies to achieve our SEO goals

  • Monitoring SEO keyword and technical health metrics, reporting wins to senior stakeholders and flagging issues for our web team

  • Analyze website performance across the different stages of the customer journey to ensure we are meeting the needs of our prospective customers.

  • Develop a link-building plan to improve our domain authority

  • Keep up to date with the latest SEO and audience trends



What you'll bring

  • 5+ years of experience as an SEO, preferably with some agency or in-house experience at a B2B company

  • A customer-first mindset

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Dedication to delivering impact beyond vanity metrics

  • Technical web knowledge & experience communicating best practices to web designers and developers (HTML, CSS, Javascript, and some affinity with UX).

  • Fluent in English, native in Dutch, German, or French is a plus

  • Effective communication and ability to manage stakeholders across the organisation, including leadership

  • Experience with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, SEM Rush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog (experience with Jira is a plus)

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with stakeholders 

  • Resilience, strong prioritization skills, and the ability to work in fast-paced environments

  • Adaptability to new alogrithm updates

  • Experience managing freelancers or an agency is a plus
