You’ll be the second tax expert at Mollie and will be able to further build the tax function at Mollie together with our Head of Tax.
The role includes managing our tax positions and tax compliance in Europe and setting up the tax compliance in new markets and for new products, following Mollie’s expansion ambitions in the next few years.
As the tax team is still quite small at the moment, you’ll work on a broad range of tax areas, such as VAT, CIT, Transfer pricing, Employment taxes including taxation of equity instruments, tax accounting and operational taxes. You’ll learn a lot! ;-)

What you’ll be doing
Managing Mollie’s tax compliance, mainly including VAT, CIT, TP and Employment taxes.
Reviewing new services that Mollie would like to offer and ensuring a tax compliant set up of the new service.
Setting up our tax compliance in new countries that Mollie expands to.
Ensuring Mollie complies with new or changing tax obligations, such as CESOP, carbon reporting, etc.
Coordinating the tax work of external advisers that Mollie works with.
Working closely with our financial reporting and finance operations team on tax accounting topics, VAT treatment of invoices and employment tax questions such as WKR.
Creating tax awareness within the company in a proactive and engaging manner, to ensure everyone at Mollie knows when (and is happy) to involve the tax team.
Working closely with our Legal and People and Places team on reward regulations, equity instruments and mobility cases.
You’ll manage a broad range of stakeholders ranging from junior to very senior ones within the company.
What you'll bring
Around 8 years of relevant work experience, ideally in various tax areas.
Hands on, a do-er and a strong sense of ownership (but humble execution).
Fast learner, easily grasping new complex topics.
Able to make complex concepts easy to understand for anyone.
Eager to learn, broaden your knowledge and pick up new things.
Embracing change, curious to what lies beyond.
