About us

We feel that banking has been set up against businesses for too long. From overdraft fees to payment processing, banking products are confusing, stressful, and frankly boring.

Mollie was founded in 2004 in Amsterdam. Adriaan (our founder) wanted to change the status quo, aiming to provide a new generation of financial products designed to work entirely for our customers. Since then over 800 Mollie spread across the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, France, the UK, Portugal and Italy have joined him in delivering this shared vision. We are already serving 200,000 businesses across Europe and we are only getting started.

With over 50 nationalities, our globally-diverse workforce inspires us to not be limited by borders and expand our offering beyond our focus markets today. We believe in building high-quality products which are deeply local, catering to our customers needs in each of our countries of focus. In doing so, we require local knowledge and expertise.

Your opportunity:

Mollie currently has over 130.000 customers in the Benelux market and we are on a mission to win the rest of Europe. Winning Denmark has been set as one of our priorities for Mollie and we need your help to make this happen.

Mollie is looking for a working student to help the Expansion team grow our presence in new markets. We pride ourselves on being hyper local and you will play a critical part in achieving this. You will assist with our translation efforts to make sure our product is fully available in Danish to successfully launch in Denmark.

This is a chance to help Mollie launch products into new markets. You will also experience the way teams collaborate across an organisation.

If you are a highly motivated student, then this role is just for you!

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to Mollie’s expansion into Denmark by helping create a localised product offering.

  • Develop a good understanding of the Mollie product offering to create a glossary of key terms in Danish.

  • Translations: you will help translate your product and customer facing content into Danish by reviewing existing translations and making adjustments where necessary.

What you’ll bring

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, Communications, or Marketing related fields

  • Ability to read and write at C2 Level in both English and Danish

  • Available for a minimum of 16 hours per week, with a strong preference for 24-40 hours

  • Interest in fintech and the Danish local payments/e-commerce landscape

  • Previous experience with translations preferred but not required
