Treasury Specialist

Your Opportunity

As a Treasury Specialist within Mollie you play a critical role in managing our cash, banks, foreign currency positions, investments and actively supporting in the design and roll-out of our Financial Services products. You are not just a member of the CFO-team, but are an integral part of the Financial Services Domain with the responsibility to drive (product) improvements in multiple problem spaces, ranging from Cash Management, Reporting and Banking Interactions. You are a Treasury specialist who brings a strong understanding of cash management, FX, investments and shows a great drive and strong analytical capabilities in your work. 

This is a great opportunity for someone who is not afraid of hands-on work and at the same time working on new strategic initiatives and product development in a fast-paced environment. 


What you will be doing

  • You will be part of a small team focused on solving clearly defined problem spaces. 

  • Execute on our cash management related activities, while investing in the improvement of our reporting and forecasting processes;

  • Support in managing Mollie’s excess cash and running  our multi-million investment portfolio to get the most out of our money;

  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures on Treasury and Financial Risk related topics;

  • Identify (uncovered) FX risk positions and recommend solutions to manage risks accordingly;

  • Support the build and further optimisation of our banking infrastructure to facilitate efficient and cost-effective payments; 

  • Support company wide growth projects, such as supporting the development of new products and payment methods, which all require your deep understanding of Treasury;

  • Drive projects in and across domains to support Mollie in developing first class finance and treasury products for our customers;

  • Support the implementation of a treasury management system to support the further development and automation of our Treasury operations;

  • Support the Merchant Finance team with the reconciliation of our safeguarding/client money accounts.


What you will bring 

  • You have at least 3-6 years of relevant work experience in Treasury with knowledge of international cash management, forecasting, foreign exchange management and internal controls;

  • You like to get things done and bring energy to solve problems for our customers and internal stakeholders; 

  • You are proactive and have an analytical approach with a strong sense of ownership; 

  • You have a solution-oriented mindset and have the ability to come up with new ideas to improve our products and services;

  • Advanced degree in (preferably) Finance / Business Administration, comparable study or demonstrably a comparable level of knowledge and thinking. A certified Treasury education is a strong plus; 

  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
