Analytics Engineer

Join a dynamic and rapidly growing company based in the Netherlands, with a footprint extending across Europe. In our journey to make money management effortless for every business in Europe, we are looking for an Analytics Engineer to join a newly established team in our Go-to-Market Domain. 

This role is pivotal in driving our goal to 10x lead generation and double our new business year on year. You will use data to power Mollie’s efforts in lead sourcing and lead scoring, in order to identify relevant companies and data points online, ensuring Mollie has the most comprehensive database of ideal customer profile leads. These leads will be enriched with relevant data points and prioritized using machine learning. You will also own and manage the data models for our CRM tooling, empowering marketers to be autonomous in creating segmented audience lists, which they can use to run marketing campaigns at scale. 

What you'll be doing

  • Exploratory analysis: work with commercial teams (e.g. Marketing, Sales), as well as Data teams (e.g. Machine Learning), to understand which internal and external data points provide the strongest signals for the relevance and quality of a lead

  • Data ingestion: work with our data platform team to ingest data from various third party sources to power your data models, reports, analytical applications, and machine learning models. 

  • Data modelling: transform data from different sources into clean, robust, performant, data models that are armed with appropriate data quality tests and adhere to software engineering best practices.

  • Integration management: manage the infrastructure for integrations to provide our CRM with rich data to construct a complete customer profile 

  • Business Intelligence: build and maintain robust, performant data models (dbt + Looker) to empower your stakeholders to report their most important KPIs. 

 

What you have

  • 2-4 years experience as a data engineer, analytics engineer, data analyst

  • Experience with programming languages: Python, PySpark, SQL, dbt

  • Experience with orchestration (e.g. Airflow) and infrastructure as code (e.g. Terraform)

  • Experience within sales / marketing + associated data sources e.g. web & marketing analytics tools, Salesforce etc.

  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Proactive, pragmatic and have a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Experience working with a BI tool (we use Looker)

  • Experience working with Git
