Your impact
You will be a key driver in Mollie’s expansion across the Nordic region, specifically targeting the Danish and Finnish markets. As a Business Development Manager, your initial focus will be on small and mid-market merchants, helping them simplify their financial operations with our industry-leading payment solutions. This isn't just about closing deals; it’s about establishing Mollie as the go-to partner in a high-growth territory where we are rapidly gaining momentum.
Working within our Merchant domain, you’ll join a high-performing "Pod" of specialists dedicated to the Nordics. You’ll have the autonomy to own your territory, identifying opportunities where our localised products—like MobilePay and local card schemes—provide a competitive edge. This is a role for a driven connector who understands that success in the Nordics requires a blend of local cultural nuance and a relentless focus on outbound growth.
What you'll ship
Proactively identify and close new business opportunities within the Danish and Finnish mid-market segments
Execute a high-activity outbound sales strategy, utilising cold calling, email sequencing, and social selling to build a robust pipeline
Collaborate with the Nordics Pod (Sales Engineers and Partner Managers) to deliver tailored, high-impact pitches to prospective merchants
Guide merchants through the full sales cycle, from initial discovery and technical scoping to contract negotiation and go-live
Maintain impeccable CRM hygiene, ensuring all leads, activities, and forecasts are accurate and up-to-date
What you'll bring
Professional fluency in Danish and/or Finnish, alongside a strong command of English
3+ years of experience in a fast-paced B2B sales or business development role
A proven track record of hitting and exceeding outbound sales targets and revenue quotas.
Experience working with CRM tools (ideally Salesforce or HubSpot) to manage complex sales cycles and activities
High levels of self-motivation and the "hunter" mentality required to build a territory from scratch
Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex fintech solutions into clear business value for merchants
