Your Opportunity
We’re looking for an experienced Compliance Lead - Customer Integrity & AML to lead a team within the Compliance Domain.
In this role reporting directly to the Director of Regulatory Compliance & Expansion, you will be at the forefront of our financial crime prevention efforts, with a clear focus on anti-money laundering (AML), countering the financing of terrorism (CFT), and integrity risk management. You’ll work closely with operational, product, and tech teams to optimize policies and processes, and embed smart automation and risk-based thinking into our customer lifecycle.
You’ll be joining a team of curious, collaborative experts driving compliance and expansion in one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you will provide direction, insights and day-to-day guidance on AML/CFT matters, while also shaping a culture of ethical conduct across the organisation. You will ensure that our policies and processes are not only efficient and scalable but also compliant across the EU jurisdictions in which we operate.
This is a manager-level position where you’ll provide strategic direction, regulatory insight, and day-to-day guidance on AML/CFT matters, while also shaping a culture of ethical conduct across the organization.
Lead the design and continuous improvements of Mollie’s frameworks for AML, CFT and Fraud prevention—ensuring effective detection, prevention, and response mechanisms are in place,
Support the business in implementing a robust and risk-based approach to Customer Due Diligence (CDD),
Collaborate on fraud prevention strategies with operational and monitoring teams.
Act as a key point of contact during audits and inspections related to integrity risks and AML/CFT.
Drive the smart use of automation, data, and rule-based logic to enhance efficiency and reduce manual work.
Support the development of new products with integrity risk assessments and tailored mitigation strategies.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on regulatory and integrity risk topics, including new regulations, typologies, and industry trends.
Deliver training and awareness sessions on AML, fraud, and ethics.
What you’ll bring
5+ years of management experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably in fintech, banking, or payments.
You have strong knowledge of the European/UK payments, financial services and/or fintech industry and of European regulatory frameworks.
Strong understanding of risk-based approaches, automated monitoring systems
Experience working across multiple EU regulatory environments and experience engaging with regulators and FIUs on AML/CFT topics.
Effective communicator with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Self-driven, structured, and comfortable working in a dynamic and scaling environment.
Excellent communication skills in English; additional European languages are a plus.
