As one of the fastest growing fintech companies in Europe, Mollie is looking to expand its legal department in Amsterdam to enable Mollie in this period of hyper growth.
You will be part of Mollie’s legal team and work closely with all other departments. Together with your team members, you will be working on bigger firm-wide projects. Yet, you will also be responsible for your own projects and tasks where you will report to your manager.

You are interested in how the legislation applies to Mollie’s business and eager to implement improvements within the organization. What you'll be doing:
As a legal advisor to the business you will work across a spectrum of legal, business, product and strategic issues. You will:
Be responsible for internal governance, corporate housekeeping and corporate insurances;
Assist the General Counsel in the preparation and execution of supervisory board and shareholder meetings;
Help manage equity programs;
Help manage the relationship with shareholders;
Assist Mollie in complying with applicable governance requirements;
Advise internal stakeholders on various legal topics, such as equity, corporate housekeeping, governance, M&A;
Collaborate with business partners and teams within the organization, as well as with outside counsel and supervisory bodies.
What you'll have:
Advanced law degree from a European University, with excellent academic credentials and professional experience;
4+ years of relevant working experience, gained at a top-tier law firm or in-house department;
A pragmatic and commercial approach;
Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills and adept at working with cross department colleagues;
A willingness to jump in and do whatever needs to be done in an enthusiastic, proactive, and resourceful manner, and a strong work ethic with a high degree of accountability and organisation;
Nice to haves:
Familiarity with payment or financial services industries and knowledge of associated regulatory issues.
First hand experience with growing companies, particularly those involved in highly regulated industries.
