Email Marketing Manager

Mollie is looking for a hands-on, strategic email marketing manager to join the Demand Generation team and help us in our mission to become Europe’s most loved financial service provider. At Mollie, email is a critical conversion channel to increase our new customer base. We use email marketing to nurture leads, drive activation after sign-up, increase adoption of new products, and keep contacts informed of critical updates. 


In this role you will drive and own email best practice overall for Mollie (i.e. templates, guidelines, industry standards) as well as be accountable for strategy and execution of our lead nurture program (pre account creation). There are multiple teams who communicate with our customers, partners, and leads, so you will also need to help ensure we are not over-communicating.


You’ll work alongside a team of specialists focused on a range of marketing disciplines including growth, content, product, and partner marketing, as well as stakeholders across the business. You'll be responsible for planning and executing email marketing campaigns to nurture leads generated through content, events and other marketing activity, briefing in assets needed from design and copywriters, developing A/B tests, reporting on performance and key insights, and establishing best practices for customer communication.


 

What you'll be doing

  • Drive our lead nurture program, with end-to-end accountability 

  • Support other marketers - including product marketing, partner marketing, and field marketers - to set up and execute standalone email campaigns and always-on nurture flows across the customer journey

  • Set up A/B tests to identify best practices around sending time and frequency, customer segmentation, design, and content 

  • Monitor our deliverability and unsubscribe rates to maintain high deliverability

  • Monitor performance and identifying key insights from data in Looker

  • Develop Segmentation strategies to send the right messages to the right customers


What you'll bring

  • 3-5 years of experience in an email marketing role

  • Experience with email marketing and marketing automation platforms 

  • Strong analytical and data-driven strategic mindset

  • A keen eye for for detail

  • Proactive problem-solving with a get-it-done attitude

  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS

  • Fluent in English, native in Dutch, German, or French is a plus

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate clearly with stakeholders 

  • A curious and knowledge-hungry attitude

  • Resilience and the ability to work in fast-paced environments

  • Experience working in a B2B, SaaS, or Fintech company is a plus

  • Experience with business insight tools such as Looker is a plus
