Your impact
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Payments Fraud to lead our fraud prevention efforts across Mollie. This is a critical senior leadership role within the Monitoring Domain, responsible for protecting Mollie and the financial ecosystem against evolving fraud threats. The successful candidate will be a visionary expert capable of defining a long-term strategy while driving execution and collaboration across multiple internal domains.
What you’ll ship
Domain Coordination: Coordinate work, resources, and priorities between related teams within the Monitoring Domain to ensure a unified and effective fraud-fighting approach.
Define Payments Fraud Strategy: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive, cutting-edge payments fraud strategy that aligns with the company's growth objectives and risk appetite.
Cross-Domain Advisory: Act as the primary subject matter expert, advising other domains across the business on best practices, emerging threats, and effective controls for fraud prevention.
Framework Enhancement: Work closely with the Onboarding and Payments Domains to enhance existing fraud detection, prevention, and response frameworks embedded within their respective processes and products.
Performance Monitoring: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and key risk indicators (KRIs) related to payments fraud to measure effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
What you’ll bring
5+ years experience in a fraud leadership role focused on payments fraud, risk management, or financial crime within the financial services or FinTech industry.
Deep expertise in payment systems (e.g., card payments, alternative payment methods, instant payments) and the fraud vectors associated with them.
Demonstrated ability to define and execute complex, company-wide strategies.
Exceptional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills and a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Computer Science, Law) is preferred.
