Sales Engineer Benelux

Your opportunity

As a Sales Engineer, you will be overall responsible for the technical consultation during sales meetings, and are responsible for the transition to our Implementation/dedicated support team. During the sales process of Mollieโ€™s products and solutions you take the customer by the hand and guide them in the best way to getting to know Mollie.

You are the expert on our SaaS integrations on all the running Platforms and of course you know every Mollie feature and benefits. You will be working as part of the Sales team to grow the merchant base and attend meetings with potential clients to determine technical requirements and ensure that everything is in place to get the customers live in the most loved and efficient way.

This means you will guide the customer through the onboarding process and will make sure once the customer is live to transfer to Customer Success and dedicated support teams. You are the trusted advisor for the sales teams and for the customers during the entire sales process. You will work with our Sales and Customer Success teams.


What you'll be doing

1. Technical Pre-Sales Support

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide expert guidance on how our SaaS solutions can address their challenges.

  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to prospective customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our software.

  • Develop customised solutions and proof-of-concept scenarios tailored to customer needs.


2. Solution Design and Consultation: 

  •  Work with customers to gather and document detailed technical requirements.

  •  Design and propose solutions that align with customer needs, ensuring compatibility with their existing systems and processes.

  • Provide technical advice on best practices for implementation, integration, and usage of our products.


3. Customer Interaction and Relationship Building: 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including technical decision-makers and influencers within client organisations.

  • Act as a trusted advisor, addressing technical concerns, answering questions, and providing insights to support the sales process.

  • Participate in customer meetings, workshops, and technical discussions.


4. Collaboration and Communication: 

  • Work closely with the product development team to provide feedback on customer requirements and potential product enhancements.

  • Collaborate with marketing to develop technical content, including whitepapers, case studies, and webinars.

  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to maintain a deep understanding of the SaaS market.


5. Post-Sales Support: 

  • Assist in the transition from sales to implementation, ensuring a smooth handover to the customer success and support teams.

  • Provide technical training and onboarding support to new customers as needed.


What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as a Sales Engineer, Technical Consultant, or similar role within a SaaS or software company.

  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in software development, system architecture, or IT infrastructure.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Experience with REST APIโ€™s and related tools like Postman.

  • E-commerce and or POS experience 

  • Problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.

  • Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings and industry events.

  • You are fluent in Dutch & comfortable interacting in English.
