Sales Lead - France

Your opportunity:


Mollie is on a mission to become the most loved Payment Service Provider in Europe. We are looking for a Sales Lead France to strengthen our commerce team in France.

You’ll help Mollie grow by leading an exceptionally high-performing Direct Sales team in France, responsible for serving the full range of our sales targets from small businesses through to mid-market & large companies.

As a natural sales leader, you’ll inspire and motivate junior and senior sales talent to hunt for prospects, find creative ways to leverage our outstanding product to meet client needs and ultimately close the deal. You’ll report to the VP of Sales and the VP of France and will work closely with the local and central teams and functions.


What you'll be doing:


  • Develop, recruit, train, and manage a high-performing sales team.

  • Lead and motivate your team to meet and exceed future annual sales targets.

  • Use data analysis to identify emerging sales trends and refine tactics accordingly.

  • Continuously monitor performance metrics and suggest improvements as needed.

  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for the management team as part of your ongoing responsibilities.

  • Develop and execute a localised sales strategy that will align with company goals and future market opportunities.

  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to lead go-to-market strategies for upcoming new products in your market.

  • Establish and manage key client relationships and act as the lead negotiator in forthcoming important business deals.

  • Gather ongoing customer feedback for potential product enhancements or new offerings.

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistent branding and effective market penetration in the future.

  • Represent the company through PR and speaking engagements as opportunities arise.


What you will bring:


  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in sales, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership or managerial capacity (experience in the SaaS or fintech industry is a plus).

  • Proven track record of achieving sales quotas individually and through a team.

  • Strong leadership skills, including the capacity to guide and motivate a sales team.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills, capable of representing the company both internally and externally.

  • Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with C-Level.

  • Fluent in French and English is a must
