Senior Product Manager - In-Person Payments

Your opportunity:

Our In-Person Payments offering was introduced in May 2023 and has swiftly secured a robust market position, accompanied by highly positive feedback from our customer base.

Mollie's In-Person Payments portfolio extends beyond conventional store transactions conducted on traditional payment terminals to include seamless payment experiences on integrated kiosks, and even mobile devices. The expansion of Mollie's In-Person Payments solution is substantial, prompting our search for a dedicated Product Manager to join our team.

As a Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in constructing the foundation of our in-person payments processing across various tiers. Your responsibilities will span enhancing the reliability of our solution, devising innovative tests and monitoring strategies for our in-person infrastructure, introducing novel payment features, and broadening our solutions globally. Collaborating closely with our engineering teams, you will spearhead the development and enhancement of product features while effectively managing stakeholder relationships. What you'll be doing:

  • Drive the vision and execution for Mollie In-Person payments product line.  This includes but is not limited to our Mollie Terminal, Tap to Pay, range of product integrations.

  • Gain a profound understanding of the technology that forms the foundation of our In-Person payments offering and work closely with your engineering counterparts to contribute to the long-term technology strategy.

  • Continuously enhance how Mollie Terminal  fits into a wider Mollie’s product portfolio. Our goal is to provide value by minimising users' cognitive load and empowering them to maximise the benefits of Mollie’s comprehensive ecosystem.

  • You will work with skilled teams of engineers focusing on 3 key areas of our In-Person payments offering: Mollie Terminal, Tap to Pay, Android Payment SDK. Driving strategy and vision of the area and be fully accountable for end result

  • Track the development of industry and regulatory changes that might necessitate changes in our users’ integrations, and lead our efforts to help our users through that change.

  • Streamline the integration process for our customers and guarantee their ability to deploy on a large scale, ensuring our solution caters to the needs of SMEs, larger merchants and  platforms.

  • You will be part of a small team focused on solving clearly defined problem spaces.


What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in offline payments space

  • Prior expertise in any of the following areas: EMV, payments, APIs, web applications, hardware, and supply chain

  • Relevant experience in vendor management

  • 7+ years of experience as a product manager, collaborating closely with engineering teams in an innovative technology company

  • You excel in collaboration with engineering, design, data, operations, and commercial teams

  • You feel at ease communicating with merchants and partners and you are truly customer obsessed
