Head of Sales Benelux

We are looking for a strong, commercially driven individual with an entrepreneurial mindset to make an impact and help us grow in the Benelux! 


Your opportunity:

Mollie is on a mission to become the most loved Payment Service Provider in Europe. We are looking for an experienced Head of Sales to strengthen our commerce team in Benelux region.

You’ll help Mollie grow by leading an exceptionally high-performing Direct Sales team, responsible for serving the full range of our sales targets from small businesses through to mid-market & large companies. 

As a natural commercial leader you’ll inspire and motivate junior and senior sales talent to hunt for prospects, find creative ways to leverage our outstanding product to meet client needs and ultimately close the deal. You’ll report to the VP Sales and the VP Benelux  and will work closely with the local and central teams and functions.


What you’ll be doing

  • Manage and coach a team of sales team leaders to achieve stellar performance on sales conversion and output while creating opportunities for personal growth of the team members

  • Manage daily, monthly and quarterly on team performance against targets. Analyse your team’s performance data, working closely with the Commerce Optimisation team, to identify opportunities for growth

  • Shape/Develop and lead GTM strategies for new products and services, coordinating closely with Product and Marketing teams within markets

  • Scale and expand the Benelux sales teams, hiring and retaining the best talent

  • Meet and exceed annual sales targets through effective leadership and execution.

  • Use metrics and data analytics to identify trends, forecast sales, and refine sales techniques.

  • Identify opportunities in the market based on customer feedback and team insights. Collaborate with the Benelux leadership team and the cross functional teams to optimise our product portfolio and customer processes. 

  • Be the face of Mollie as a spokesperson at events and through PR such as articles, radio and video interviews. 


What you'll bring

  • 7 - 10  years of commercial experience with at least 5 years in a managerial role (in the SaaS or fintech industry is a plus). You are a driven commercial leader with extensive sales and people leadership experience 

  • You are highly motivated and are passionate about developing individuals into their best selves, stellar sales executives who can bring their full potential to bear.

  • You have strong communication and presentation skills, ability to represent Mollie internally as well as externally.

  • Data driven mindset. You have a strong ability to leverage metrics and dashboards to create excitement towards target achievement.

  • Native/Fluent in Dutch and Fluent in English
